WELCOME to UGC

We are excited that you have come to our website and given us a chance to show you who we are and what we do. We welcome you to register with our website and participate in our forums. You are welcome to join us in our game server as long as we are not hosting a member's only event. If you are interested in participating in our member's only events then please post in our forums with an interest for membership. We hope you return and game with us often.

WHO is UGC

Our online history is a long and complicated history. Some of us have been gaming online since before 2000 and have played several online games including Freespace, Delta Force Xtreme, World of Warcraft, All Points Bulletin and many more. Our first game server was a Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Objective Server. Since then we have hosted dozens of games. At one time we had 8 different game servers online at once. Our primary goal in all things is to have fun and get along while doing it. Now after saying all of that .. the simple answer to the question .. Who is UGC? We are a group of friends with one goal ... to have fun!

Our Creed

It is the purpose of the United Gamers Coalition to promote and exemplify the ideals of friendship, fairplay, honesty and hard fought competition. As a group we dedicate ourselves to these concepts: that we need each other, that we help each other and that we will all work together toward being the best group of gamers and friends in the world of virtual gaming and the world of real life.

As such, we will welcome anyone who wishes to join in what we do. Our members are, and always will be, some of the most respected online warriors. We have come together because of our friendship and because of our desire to share this sense of fellowship with others. We invite you to join us on this journey into the future. We invite you to share in this most diverse of communities. We invite you to join in our purpose....

State of the Coalition
So what has the United Gamers Coalition been up to since we celebrated 10 years of existence last July? Gaming of course!

Halloween is coming and that means zombies are walking. It seems UGC has a fascination with these dead guys.

Call of Duty World at War and the zombies that come with it has been a hot game the past few months. Bolt action, round in the chamber, and other gametypes have kept this game alive. Some of the zombie mods actually allow for modern weapons as well. It seems COD5 has it is sometimes called, has become a staple of the United Gamers Coalition. Joining other such games from the past such as Medal of Honor and Left 4 Dead.

I mentioned zombies for CoD5. Yes, zombies. It seems the undead never die. One of the hot new games that members of UGC have been playing recently is the popular Dead Island. If you have something against zombies, and most of us do, then you will love the way you can deal with these dead walkers. Knock their arms off, kick their teeth in, jump on and destroy their heads. All of this can be accomplished in this bloody fun game.

Keeping the zombie thing going, we cannot forget about Minecraft. UGC started messing with this building block of a game late last year and it is still going strong. A lot has changed with Minecraft in the past year but the fact remains that the game is fun. A true sandbox.

Zombies are not in all games. Warlight is a game that is zombie free and involves placing and using armies. It is based on a game style such as Risk. You know, the board game where you try to conquer the world? Instead of conquering the world, you can simply conquer a nation or a province or a state. Many possibilities designed around your own power hungry ways. It is a turn based game that can be played for about an hour with friends or take days to weeks with friends and others all trying to gain dominion over the assigned areas of play.

Black Ops remains a game played by a few members but it seems it may be dying out as a main game for UGC. Call of Duty 4 has been revisited and could become a regular game as it did before. However, new games on the horizon could be the end of Black Ops and CoD4. We have a member who is dedicated to the revival of Earth and Beyond and we still have others who are scattered about the gaming universe as well.

So what will we be talking about in 3 months? 3 months from now will be mid January. I don't claim to be able to see into the future but I do believe that the hot topics will be Battlefield 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic. Currently we are focusing on Battlefield 3 with plans to host a server. The game shows promise but only time will tell. Soon after, Star Wars: The Old Republic will be released and some will have to choose between these two games and other games. I sense that Minecraft may finally die out after being with UGC for a year. It will be hard for it to compete with BF3 and SW:TOR. Then again, we have been playing old games consistently for a long time now. Who knows, UGC could be playing Delta Force Extreme in 3 months. I wouldn't bet on it though.

So we are still here, playing the games we love and some games we love to hate. After all, we are the United Gamers Coalition!

GAME ON!
Undefeated - 08/16/2009
August 15, 2009

We challenged the Cavity Creeps to a match and won. In Matroska, CC took the lead and it seemed they were going to take a win but in the end we tied it up. Next we went to Carentan and luck would have it that we scored the first kill. Now with the lead we held back so we wouldn't walk into an ambush. With a win under our belts, we entered Crash and thought we were going to have our first loss of the match. Again, we were able to tie the score before the map ended. Finally in Oldtown, the score tied immediately with both sides getting a kill at the same time. Then CC took the lead but briefly. It came down to a photo finish and a win for G4F!
G4F defuses TNT - 08/15/2009
August 15, 2009

Our latest victim, TNT, put up a good match but fell short of detonating a win. The match started with Matroska, a modern version of the COD2 map Matmata. TNT took the lead at the start but we soon tied and then took the lead. On Carentan, TNT took an early lead and stayed in the lead until near the end of the match. It ended with a tie. Next the battle went to Oldtown, a modern version of the CoD1 map Dawnville. The score was close but in the end, we took the lead and held it. This makes our 2nd victory!
